Why Should You Attend? It is critically important for each of us to cast votes for a Mayor and six Council members who will make Tybee’s best interest their first and only priority. Three Parties in the Park will provide an opportunity for you -- a participatory Tybee voter -- to get to know those candidates that we feel best reflect our core values. Saturday’s Potluck meeting will include a moderated question and answer session but questions for candidates are welcome at all parties. We look forward to seeing many of you at our free Candidate Parties in the Park on: Friday, Nov. 4 Free Hot Dogs & Beer 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join us for a free picnic (beer & soft drinks and grilled hot dogs). Speak with candidates about the issues that are important to you in this casual setting. Saturday, Nov. 5 Potluck and Moderated Question Meeting 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Forever Tybee will provide barbecues on buns & beverages - please bring a desert or side dish to share. We will collect your questions and ask them during a moderated question and answer session. Sunday, Nov. 6 Special Pets and Special Treats 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event will feature Tybee Pets, Desserts, Coffee & Cider. We will bring the food and drinks. We need for you to bring your pets for the: Pet Costume Contest Dress your pet to join the fun - prizes for the best dressed pets! Bone Walk Owners will parade their pets in a pet version of a cake walk. Winning pet takes home the prize bone. Best Pet Candidate Bring a poster that features your pet as a candidate for Mayor or Council. Prize for best pet candidate. It's time to give George some competition. |
